Knight Frank Australia has invested in the Sydney Women’s Rugby Union competition as part of its extension of support of the NSW Women’s Waratahs by another three years.
The support of Knight Frank, Principal Partner of the NSW Waratahs Women’s for the last three years, now spans across the wider training squad, from the senior and junior teams with a combined total of around 70 players, to the NSW Waratahs Women’s Sevens and Sydney Women’s competition, which has 18 teams across two divisions of the Premiership competition and upwards of 500 players.
The extended partnership will see Knight Frank as naming partner for the Sydney Women’s Rugby Premiership which incorporates the Chikarovski Cup (replacing the Jack Scott Cup) and the yet to be named Division Two competition. The Sydney Women’s Premiership competition is governed by Sydney Women’s Rugby Union as part of NSW Rugby Union.
Knight Frank, which is a global property consultancy with more than 740 across more than 50 territories and with more than 27,000 people worldwide, first signed on as a Principal Partner with the NSW Waratahs Women’s rugby team at the start of 2022.
Knight Frank Chief Executive Officer James Patterson said he was thrilled to announce the inclusion of Sydney Women’s Rugby competition alongside the partnership with the Waratahs Women’s for another three years running until the end of 2027 following a successful three-year period.
“The partnership aligns with Knight Frank’s passion for supporting sportspeople and career opportunities for women in property as we work towards gender equity in the workplace,” he said
“The extended partnership provides Knight Frank with a great platform for brand awareness and deepened client relationships through engagement opportunities that are aligned to their values and interests.”Chief Executive Officer of NSW Rugby Union Peter Murphy said “This is a superb development for women’s rugby, the new investment in the women’s competition in Sydney reaffirms the value of women’s rugby as a primary brand.
Supporting women’s sport is so important and it is currently one of the fastest growing areas of grassroots rugby so aligning with a well-known brand like Knight Frank is a great way to boost the profile of the sport and the players that are involved”
“Sydney Womens competition is going from strength to strength” Murphy said, “and having this ongoing support of Knight Frank is invaluable to the development of this competition.”
