MATCH PREVIEW: 1 AUGUST 2026

Sydney Women’s Rugby Union is back this Saturday 1 August, with Chikarovski Cup Round 14 and Div 2 Cup Round 12 both on the card. The Chikarovski Cup ladder remains live at both the top and the bottom, while the Div 2 Cup title race has three teams within a single point of top spot heading into the weekend.

Chikarovski Cup — Round 14 Preview

Two Blues lead the Chikarovski Cup ladder on 49 points after ten wins from thirteen rounds, with a points differential of +175. Manly are second on 45 points. Sydney Uni sit third on 42, Wildfires fourth on 41, and Warringah fifth on 39. Souths are sixth on 29, Gordon seventh on 24, and Easts remain without a win through thirteen rounds on 5 points.

Easts v Sydney Uni — Woollahra Oval | Sat 1 August, 11:00 AM

Easts host third-placed Sydney Uni at Woollahra Oval. Easts have been unable to find a win across the season, while Sydney Uni will want to perform well and lock in their position on the Chikarovski Cup table.

Two Blues v Wildfires — Newcastle Sports Ground 2 | Sat 1 August, 12:00 PM

Ladder leaders Two Blues travel to Newcastle to face fourth-placed Wildfires. Two Blues have been the competition’s most consistent side with a points differential of +175, and a win here strengthens their grip on top spot. Wildfires need the points to keep their fourth-placed position secure.

Gordon v Warringah — Pittwater Rugby Park No. 2 | Sat 1 August, 12:00 PM

Gordon host fifth-placed Warringah in a fixture with little to separate the two sides on recent form. Gordon are seventh on 24 points and will be looking to pick up points at home, while Warringah are looking to hold fifth on the Chikarovski Cup ladder.

Souths v Manly — Forshaw Rugby Park | Sat 1 August, 4:45 PM

The standout fixture of the round. Manly sit four points behind Two Blues heading into this one, and with it scheduled last on the day, Manly will know exactly what result is required by kick-off. Souths are sixth on 29 points and will be looking to pick up points at home. If Two Blues drop points earlier in the round, this match has direct implications for top spot on the Chikarovski Cup ladder.
