Norths Sirens and Randwick sit just behind on six points each, with the bulk of the competition tightly grouped heading into Round 3.

Chikarovski Cup – Round 5

Only two matches to play this weekend, with the Manly v Warringah and Souths v Wildfires fixture having both been played on the ANZAC Day weekend. Wildfires and Two Blues have been the competition’s most consistent performers through four rounds. Wildfires have won three from four — including away wins over Easts, Gordon, and Souths — while Two Blues have put together back-to-back convincing wins in Rounds 3 and 4 after a two-round stumble. Manly also remain in the mix with three wins.

Gordon v Easts Chatswood Oval | Thu 14 May, 7:00 PM

Gordon have won one from four, with losses to Warringah, Wildfires, and Souths following their opening-round win over Two Blues. Easts have not won this season. Both sides are looking for a result that shifts their position in the second half of the competition.

Two Blues v Sydney Uni Holroyd Sportsground | Sat 16 May, 9:00 AM

The standout fixture of the round. Two Blues have won three of their four matches and are hitting form at the right time. Sydney Uni have shown they can compete — wins over Souths and Manly, and a two-point loss to Wildfires in Round 4. Both sides are in the frame for finals contention, and this fixture has direct ladder implications.

Div 2 Cup — Round 3

Three rounds in, West Harbour and Campbelltown have been the two standout sides, winning both of their opening fixtures. Manly 2 sit alongside them on two wins after a 60–point haul against Easts 2 in Round 2, making them one of the more significant movers on the early ladder.

Randwick v Manly Coogee Oval | Sat 16 May, 9:20 AM

Both sides sit on one win each. Randwick lost to Norths Sirens in Round 1 before beating Two Blues 2 in Round 2. Manly 2 were held scoreless by Campbelltown in Round 1, then put 60 on Easts 2 in Round 2. A close match on paper, on Randwick’s home ground.

Wildfires v Norths Sirens Newcastle Uni | Sat 16 May, 11:00 AM

Wildfires were dominant in Round 1 with a 54–0 win over Gordon 2 before losing 19–10 to Campbelltown in Round 2. Norths Sirens won Round 1 against Randwick, then drew 12–12 with Gordon. Both sides are on similar trajectories and the trip to Newcastle adds an extra variable for the Sirens.

Two Blues v West Harbour Holroyd Sportsground | Sat 16 May, 4:50 PM

West Harbour have been the most consistent team through two rounds — 41–0 in Round 1, 53–12 in Round 2. Two Blues 2 won Round 1 against Chifley Chiefs before losing to Randwick in Round 2. This is the most competitive fixture of the round, and a genuine test of where West Harbour’s form is at.

Chifley Chiefs & Campbelltown have the day off as they will play each other at Peter Van Hasselt Park on Thursday 4 June, at 7:00 PM
