MATCH PREVIEW: 27 JUNE 2026

This is it — the final round of the 2026 Sydney Women’s Rugby Union season. Chikarovski Cup Round 10 and Div 2 Cup Round 8 are both on this Saturday 27 June, with the Chikarovski Cup title still to be decided and the Div 2 Cup race heading into its final chapter. Here’s everything you need to know before kick-off.

Chikarovski Cup — Round 10 Preview

Wildfires and Two Blues go into the final round level on 30 points each — both with six wins from nine rounds. Wildfires hold a draw on their record that Two Blues don’t, giving them a slight points differential advantage, but the title could go either way depending on how both sides perform on Saturday. Sydney Uni are third on 26 points. Warringah are fourth on 24 points after a strong finish to the season. Manly are fifth on 23 points with their postponed Round 7 fixture against Gordon at Keirle Park on 23 June still outstanding — depending on that result, their final ladder position may shift. Souths are sixth on 23 points, Gordon seventh on 17, and Easts are winless through nine rounds on 4 points.

Souths v Sydney Uni — Forshaw Rugby Park | Sat 27 June

Souths host Sydney Uni at Forshaw Rugby Park to close out the Chikarovski Cup season. Sydney Uni are third on 26 points and will be looking to finish strongly after a heavy Round 9 loss to Two Blues. Souths are sixth on 23 points and have been competitive all season — a home win here would be a solid end to their year. Sydney Uni will be determined to make a statement in their final game of the competition.

Manly v Easts — Woollahra Oval | Sat 27 June

Manly close their regular season against Easts at Woollahra Oval, with their final ladder position depending partly on the outcome of their outstanding Round 7 fixture against Gordon. Manly have been one of the Chikarovski Cup’s highest scorers — 190 points from seven games — and will be looking to finish on the right note. Easts are yet to win this season and will be motivated to sign off with a result before the Chikarovski Cup concludes.

Warringah v Wildfires — Pittwater Rugby Park | Sat 27 June

The Chikarovski Cup title could be decided right here. Wildfires need to win — and win with enough points — to give themselves the best chance of finishing on top of the ladder. Warringah have been in outstanding form across the back half of the season: wins over Two Blues and Manly in Rounds 8 and 9 have lifted them to fourth on the table. They won’t approach this as a dead rubber. Wildfires have the motivation of a potential title to chase, but they face a Warringah side with nothing to fear and recent form on their side. One of the most important fixtures of the Chikarovski Cup season.

Gordon v Two Blues — Beauchamp Park | Sat 27 June, 1:15 PM

Two Blues need a win at Beauchamp Park to keep their Chikarovski Cup title hopes alive and hope that Wildfires drop points against Warringah. Gordon have three wins from eight this season and will be looking to end their home campaign on a high. Two Blues have been the competition’s highest scorers — 207 points from nine rounds — and arrive with everything to play for. Gordon won’t make it easy, but Two Blues will be heavily motivated and will be expected to win.

Div 2 Cup — Round 8 Preview

The Div 2 Cup title race has come down to two sides. Campbelltown lead on 24 points — unbeaten through five completed rounds — and Wildfires 2 are level on 24 points with five wins from six. Randwick sit third on 21 points and remain in the picture, while West Harbour are fourth on 17. Two Blues 2 are fifth on 16 points after their Round 6 draw with Norths Sirens. Campbelltown have games in hand, including the postponed Chifley Chiefs fixture, which adds further weight to their position at the top.

This Saturday features five fixtures across the Div 2 Cup, with the standout clash between Two Blues 2 and Campbelltown shaping as a potential title-decider.

Easts 2 v Randwick — Woollahra No 3 | Sat 27 June

Randwick close their Div 2 Cup season against Easts 2, who are yet to score a competition point through five rounds. Randwick are third on 26 points and will be strong favourites. A win here secures their third-place finish and rounds out what has been a consistent season for the club.

Campbelltown v West Harbour — Concord Oval | Sat 27 June, 9:00 AM

If the Div 2 Cup has a title decider, this is it. Campbelltown are unbeaten, dominant on every statistical measure, and arrive needing just one more result to confirm the Div 2 Cup title. West Harbour have won four from seven and have shown throughout the season that they can score — 193 points for — but they’ve faced few tests as demanding as an unbeaten Campbelltown side with a title on the line. For Wildfires 2 to have any chance, West Harbour need to pull off the result of the season. For Campbelltown, it’s a chance to close out the Div 2 Cup undefeated.

Norths Sirens v Chifley Chiefs — North Sydney Oval | Sat 27 June 10:10 PM

Norths Sirens are coming off their biggest result of the season — a 73–0 win over Easts 2 in Round 7 — and host Chifley Chiefs at North Sydney Oval. Chifley Chiefs are yet to win from six completed fixtures. Norths Sirens will be firm favourites and are looking to finish the Div 2 Cup in the top five.

Gordon 2 v Two Blues 2 — Beauchamp Park | Sat 27 June 12:00 PM

Two Blues 2 are seventh on 16 points and head to Beauchamp Park to face Gordon 2, who are eighth on 2 points and still looking for their first win. Two Blues 2 will be looking to close their season with a win and end on a high after a campaign that promised more than it delivered in the final stretch.

Manly 2 v Wildfires 2 — Manly Oval | Sat 27 June, 12:00 PM

The game Wildfires 2 cannot afford to lose. A Wildfires 2 win at Manly Oval, combined with a West Harbour upset over Campbelltown, hands them the Div 2 Cup title. Manly 2 are fifth on 17 points and have won three from seven — including a strong 28–0 win over Chifley Chiefs — and will want to send their season out with a performance at home. Wildfires 2 have been one of the competition’s best sides across the season and will arrive focused and determined.
