Saturday 23 May delivered another full round of Sydney Women’s Rugby Union football, with the Chikarovski Cup and Div 2 Cup both producing results that continue to shape t30he ladder heading into the second half of the season.
Chikarovski Cup — Round 7 Results
Two Blues have moved to the top of the Chikarovski Cup ladder after seven rounds, sitting on 25 points from five wins. Wildfires are second on 23 points, also with five wins from seven. Manly remain third on 21 points with two games in hand. Sydney Uni have climbed to fourth on 21 points, level with Manly,a fter a strong run of form. Souths sit fifth on 16, Warringah sixth on 14, Gordon seventh on 12, and Easts remain winless at the foot of the table with 2 points from seven rounds.
Sydney Uni 36 v 7 Easts | Sydney University Football Ground
Sydney Uni continued their impressive form, putting 36 points past Easts at Sydney University Football Ground. A dominant win that keeps them firmly in the Chikarovski Cup finals picture and adds pressure to the sides above them on the ladder.
Souths 24 v 19 Warringah | Forshaw Rugby Park
A competitive contest at Forshaw Rugby Park, with Souths holding on to win 24–19. Both sides traded scores throughout, but Souths had enough to close it out at home. Warringah remain sixth on the ladder and are running out of rounds to turn their season around.
Two Blues 26 v 7 Wildfires | Eric Tweedale Stadium
Two Blues defeated Wildfires 26–7 at Eric Tweedale Stadium in a performance that sends a clear message about where this team is at. After trailing Wildfires on the ladder for much of the season, Two Blues have now moved to the top of the Chikarovski Cup with this win. Wildfires drop to second but remain in the hunt with games remaining.

Div 2 Cup – Round 5 Results
Randwick lead the Div 2 Cup ladder on 21 points after four wins from five rounds. Wildfires 2 have jumped to second on 19 points, four wins from five, after a significant result on Saturday. Campbelltown remain third on 14 points, unbeaten through three completed rounds. Two Blues 2 are fourth on 14 points from five games. West Harbour sit fifth on 12, Norths Sirens sixth on 10, and Manly 2 seventh on 6. Gordon 2, Chifley Chiefs, and Easts 2 sit at the foot of the table, yet to register a win between them.
West Harbour 20 v 22 Randwick | Coogee Oval
A close contest that Randwick edged 22–20. West Harbour pushed hard and led at stages, but Randwick held on to take the points. It’s four wins from five for Randwick, who remain top of the Div 2 Cup ladder and are building genuine title credentials.
Two Blues 2 12 v 28 Wildfires 2 | Granville Oval No 1
Wildfires 2 turned the form guide on its head, beating Two Blues 2 28–12 at Granville Oval. Two Blues 2 came in as the competition’s in-form side after back-to-back 36-point and 42-point wins, but Wildfires 2 were the better team on the day and move to second on the Div 2 Cup ladder with this result.
